Best Practices of the Department

Lab Manual- “Practical works involve both manual and intellectual works”. The process of practical work needs planning, designing, observation and investigation which improve the skills of the students. In order to ameliorate the technical skills of the students, lab manual for all the programming languages courses were created. Our students are enjoying using the manual.

Course Planner- At the beginning of every semester, the course planner has been prepared for all the courses by the respective staff In-charge. It provides a general overview of the aims and objectives of the courses, the plan of teaching and learning activities of the courses and the activities planned to check the students’ understanding levels. Also, It helps students to plan their curriculum effectively.

Flipped Learning- In the view of updating traditional methods and bring new technology into classrooms, our faculty members are adapted flipped learning for their respective courses, which aims to increase student engagement and learning by having students complete readings at their home and work on live problem-solving during class time. This practice helps students to prioritizing active learning.

YouTube Channels – Heber Hub, BHC TECH WHIZ, TechTalk - The department has its own YouTube channels named as Heber Hub, BHC TECH WHIZ and TechTalk. The objective is to promote quality learning through online mode and to maintain a repository of videos for future references. The channel has videos related to the curriculum, recent trends of computer science and other general topics for the students and staff members.

Herbal Garden- The concerns for environmental conservation and improved healthy of the environment, the Department of Computer Science (SF Shift 2) waltzes up with an idea of giving awareness on herbal gardening. So, a herbal garden was established near the Computer Science block.
